I painted a similar picture 3 or 4 years ago and after seeing it again I really wanted to give it another attempt!

An underwing is a species of moth that has a bright orange pair of under wings. I think they’re really interesting. I’ve never seen one before. It was fun to paint! Final painting will be trimmed, mounted to board and framed with a wire on the back. Painting must dry and cure before shipping 5 to 6 weeks.

Final painting will be mounted on conservator grade gatorboard with BEVA film hanging in an artist made frame with identification, hanging wire, and paper backing. Painting will be varnished and signed.
Painting is fresh, and must cure to be properly shipped without damage. Wait times vary - oil cannot be controlled, only manipulated. Not painted thickly, so it should be done in a couple of months.
